Florida Confederate monument could be replaced with statue of Snooty the manatee


Bradenton's Civil War monument, a tall obelisk with a Confederate flag engraved on the side, dates back to 1924, and was erected by the local chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Snooty was such a unique animal and he had so much personality that people couldn't help but be drawn to him.
