Arrested, 2 Other Suspects Identified in Shooting Death of Joshua Brown

09 October 2019

Brown testified in the trial that resulted in the conviction of Guyger, the former Dallas Police Officer who is now in prison for the murder of Botham Jean.

Dallas police officers have made an arrest in the shooting of Joshua Brown, a key witness for the prosecution in the Amber Guyger murder trial, NBC News reports.

Vanzant went on to say that Dallas Judge Tammy Kemp hugging Guyger "brings humanity to our legal system, which is missing, which is why we have so many people rotting in jail for nonviolent crimes because the humanity is gone".

Assistant Chief Avery Moore told WFAA that the rumors surrounding Brown's death have been false all along and encouraged "community leaders" to be careful of what they say.

During a press conference, police stated that Brown had got into a heated argument with the men and shot one of them in the chest.

Jacquerious was moved to a different hospital, where he remains in police custody, and authorities are set to execute a capital murder warrant on him later Tuesday, Moore said.

Green and the Mitchells allegedly drove from Alexandria, Louisiana, four and a half hours east of Dallas, to meet Brown for a previously arranged drug deal for marijuana.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Michael Mitchell, 32, and Thaddeous Green, 22, authorities said. Michael Mitchell and Green have not yet been apprehended.

Neither Michael Mitchell nor Thaddeous Green is in custody.

Those rumors are not true, Moore said in the news conference.

Of course, police failed to present any proof of any alleged drug deal (aside from cops' claim that they "confiscated 12 pounds of marijuana, 149 grams of THC cartridges and $4,157 in cash from Brown's apartment). That implication naturally stems from a trial where a Dallas Police officer was convicted of murder and other DPD officers were shown to have participated in condemnable behavior in destroying evidence and interfering with the investigation", the statement continues. "There is a lack of credibility that the Dallas Police Department now has and, frankly, it's not just among brown and black communities". "He's the one who contacted Joshua Brown". Brown's death was related to the Amber Guyger trial and somehow the Dallas Police Department was responsible.
