Friends Is Heading to Movie Theaters for Its 25th Anniversary

Friends fans may not be getting a reunion special for the show's 25th anniversary but they are getting another special surprise!

In celebration of the sitcom's 25th anniversary this fall, 12 fan-favorite episodes will be screened in movie theaters throughout the United States, Warner Bros. and Fathom Events announced Monday. A legendary show, Friends is watched by millions across the globe even today and has a huge fan following.

And, now for the show's big anniversary, "Friends" is hitting theaters across the country.

As the show inches towards its 25th anniversary celebration, multiple and varied fan events across the USA are expected to be held. The event will screen in more than 1,000 movie theaters nationwide at 7 PM local time through the Fathom Network. There will also be bonus content with the screenings, like interviews and other never-before-seen behind-the-scenes content.

The episodes will be shown on the nights of September 23, September 28 and October 2.

Television Group, Lisa Gregorian also released a statement that reads in part: 'The cultural impact Friends continues to have, 25 years after its premiere, is astounding and a true testament to Marta Kauffman, David Crane, Kevin Bright and the incredibly talented cast's genius. A complete list of theater locations will be available August 16 on the Fathom Events website.
