Is Verizon's Pixel 3 Exclusivity Coming to an End?

16 April 2019

The Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL, the firm's low-end variants of the flagship Pixel phones have had their Canadian pricing leaked. I'm not sure, but according to the landing page - that doubles as a teaser and advertising for the Avengers Endgame movie, set for release on April 26 - it's coming to the Pixel universe on May 7. The page has a big "G" logo in purple shade with "Help is on the way." written underneath. Now, an announcement teaser has been posted on the Google Store's website, potentially hinting at the launch of the two Pixel lite handsets.

The teaser poster (seen above) can be found on the Google Store right here, which also says that "On May 7, meet a new hero". The Pixel 3a (4GB+64GB) is expected to be priced at 649 CAD (roughly Rs 33,000) whereas the Pixel 3a XL with the same configuration will retail at 799 CAD (roughly Rs 41,500). It is also the day when Google's annual developer conference, I/O 2019, kicks off. No other details are given, so it's unclear when the launch might happen, but there is said to be some evidence that T-Mo is gearing up to sell the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The one-minute-long video highlights navigation through Google Maps and voice assistance using Google Assistant as some of the tasks that are possible through the Pixel 3 models to help the NY people.
