GoT star Iain Glen to play Bruce Wayne in Titans series

14 April 2019

It's unknown whether the 57-year-old will ever appear in full costume as Batman in Titans, or whether his role will be purely restricted to Bruce Wayne. "Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success", reads the description.

Glen, also now appearing in the BBC/PBS Masterpiece miniseries Mrs Wilson, will portray an older version of Wayne - Batman's alter ego - than we've generally seen in the past. With Batman and Deathstroke joining the cast, we might get to see the live-action showdown between the two characters that was originally promised in Matt Reeves' The Batman.

With the second series of Titans estimated to be released in October, it's not long until the DC's newest take on Batman will be streamed into homes across the globe.

Glen is known for playing Ser Jorah Mormont on the HBO arrangement, with his trustworthiness and commitment to Danaerys Targaryen making him one of the show's most dearest characters.

If you haven't watched Titans yet, here are a few reasons it's worth checking out. The news arrives just a week after Curran Walters, who portrayed fellow Bat-family member Jason Todd in season 1, was promoted to a series regular role for season 2. Included on the team of misfit avengers is the vindictive and cunning alien princess Starfire (Anna Diop), the mysterious empath Raven (Teagan Croft), and the shape-shifting Beast Boy (Ryan Potter).
