‘Left 4 Dead’ Dev Reveals New Co-Op Game ‘Back 4 Blood’

The developers behind the original Left 4 Dead are making a new spiritual successor, and they're committed to one-upping L4D in every way.

There's no screenshots or footage of Back 4 Blood yet, however.

One of the titles that defined the early days of the Steam digital distribution platform on PC was a cooperative first-person shooter called Left 4 Dead.

Despite Back 4 Blood being a long way from completion, Turtle Rock is in need of bolstering its development team and wants to hear from fans of its previous games while crafting this one.

Turtle Rock's Chris Ashton also spoke about the project saying, "It's hard to overstate what an awesome opportunity this is".

Still, for anyone that has been asking for a Left 4 Dead 3 to transpire all these years, Back 4 Blood sounds about as close as we're going to get to a proper zombie-shooting sequel. There will be a campaign and player versus player, but no, it won't fall into the growing trend of battle royale games.
