Roger Stone's Arrest Surveillance Video Released

11 February 2019

A CCTV video has emerged of the pre-dawn arrest of former Trump adviser Roger Stone that shows the self-styled "dirty trickster" being handcuffed in his boxers in his front yard by heavily-armed Federal Bureau of Investigation agents.

On last night's AC360, Anderson Cooper called out the Republican congressman who asked Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker about how CNN got exclusive footage of Roger Stone's arrest.

Stone was ultimately hit with one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements and one count of witness tampering, according to the Washington Post. "All of the men have sidearms holstered on their waists".

In filing later Friday, prosecutors said they wouldn't oppose Jackson issuing a "narrowly-tailored" gag order that seeks to keep Stone from using media coverage to his advantage in the court case.

Stone's attorneys also note that they disagree with the legality of a gag order Jackson put in place more than a year ago that has kept Stone's former lobbying partner and fellow Trump adviser Paul Manafort and his legal team from speaking publicly. Behind the property, a boat arrives with at least two agents on board.

Security footage shows an SUV with a CNN cameraman parked across the street from Stone's Fort Lauderdale, Fla., home.

Stone was arrested in Florida last month. The case is against Roger Jason Stone Jr.

His attorney pointed out that Stone's career is writing about politics and he is familiar to those following the U.S. politics, but argued that the consultant is "hardly ubiquitous in the larger landscape of popular consciousness". "By contrast, Roger Stone has no Twitter account at all and, thus has no Twitter followers", Stone said. "It was deeply concerning to me as to how CNN found out about that", Whitaker said. "I share your concern with the possibility that a media outlet was tipped off to Mr".
