New Zealand vs Sri Lanka

11 January 2019

Watch the one-off Twenty20 between New Zealand and Sri Lanka live on Sky Sports Cricket from 5.55am on Friday. The best thing about New Zealand has been that most of their players have chipped in and it has been a true team effort. Doug Bracewell and debutant Scott Kuggeleijn's all-round shows hand New Zealand their third trophy of the tour in what eventually turned out to be a dominant display from the hosts.

New Zealand have added spinner Mitchell Santner to their squad who is making a comeback after a knee injury. What that did was take New Zealand over the 100-run mark, leaving the lower order with little to lose in the attempt of slogging their way until the 20th over.

They will be without James Neesham who was something of a revelation in the ODIs after making a successful return to the global stage and contributing well with both bat and ball so all-rounder Doug Bracewell comes into the squad and he could feature.

After receiving a thrashing in the Test series and ODI series, Sri Lanka would look to win the only T20I to end their tour on a positive note. Although the side has performed decently, they have failed to register a win.

They did make one or two changes in the ODIs but they will not make any radical changes to the side and they will hope that Dickwella, Kusal Perera, Gunathilaka and Thisara Perera can all fire at the same time to try and match the Blackcaps' big hitting.
