Yoshi’s Crafted World and Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn release dates revealed

10 January 2019

And now the previously announced 3DS port, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn, has a release date of March 8th and some extra details, announced spontaneously on this Tuesday night.

One particular tidbit which is always of interest for those who prefer to purchase their Switch games digitally is the file size, and we now know that Yoshi's Crafted World will take up 5.6GB space on your console or SD card. You can find out more info about Yoshi's Crafted World here.

You can definitely expect some interesting gameplay mechanics this time around, too.

Both of the games, which each feature a handcrafted look, were announced with no firm release date- Kirby past year, and Yoshi's game in 2017. It's looking promising, and given Nintendo's recent track record with first-party games, I'd say we're in for a victor. "You can even join up with a friend to play through the game in two-player co-op", the company noted in its press release. Every stage in the original Wii version is woven in here, but the new version has some additional features, including some new mini-games that feature familiar faces King Dedede and Meta Knight.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is one of the best games the series has ever had, bursting at the seams with color, creativity, and silky smooth animation. A new game mode called Devilish (which adds "extra layer of challenge to each stage") a little cosmetic extras, new in-game furniture, are also going to be in this new version. Plus, for extra re-play value, the stages can be played through backwards as well.
