Jamie Lee Curtis wasn't so down with FIJI Water girl's photobombing efforts

10 January 2019

The model, now known to netizens as #FIJIWaterGirl, "photo bombed" almost every red carpet shot by appearing behind celebrities from Nicole Kidman, Holly Taylor, Richard Madden and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The Fiji water girl stole the show at the Golden Globes and she should have won best supporting actress for her photobombs on the red carpet.

"That's the Fiji Water woman, as we've come to know her, who dazzled the internet with a rather strong commitment to the art of blatant promotion".

The actress also said that both Fiji Water and Moët & Chandon should consult with individuals first before taking snapshots.

'The sponsors of events need to get permission from people when they get them to take their picture next to products'.

According to CTV News, Kelleth Cuthbert is a model from Toronto who was enlisted to serve Fiji-brand water bottles on the red carpet before the show. As some of Hollywood's most elite members posed for photographers, the Fiji water girl posed a little to the right (and sometimes the left) with a sultry side glance in a very on-brand blue ballgown. However, her favorite photo-bombing moment was her picture with Kidding actor Jim Carrey.

Halloween star Jamie Lee Curtis slammed the bottled water, and the red carpet promo for Moet champagne in a post to twitter days after the event.

The identity of the woman working for Fiji at the Golden Globes on Sunday was found to be Kelleth Cuthbert, a model living in Los Angeles.

Fiji Water Girl was snapped behind Bodyguard star Richard Madden.

"Wow, oh wow, I wasn't really expecting this at all", says Cuthbert in her "acceptance" speech in which she describes herself as "a normal girl" who was miraculously discovered on the night of nights.

In a nod to Cuthbert's fame, even Fiji was getting in on the action with a meta compliment to its new star model in a tweet. "It doesn't matter where you stand, you're in the crossfire of every shot", she explained to PEOPLE. "You've got to angle".
