Prepare for harvest season, because Stardew Valley is finally coming to Android

You're plopped down into the titular town on a farm you've inherited from your late grandfather with a few basic tools, a bit of cash, and a heck of a lot of land to work with.

Those looking for a tranquil mobile experience should check out Stardew Valley. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke? Stardew Valley arrives on iOS on October 24 and can be pre-ordered right now. While the game will launch first on the iOS App Store, The Secret Police are now working on finishing up the Android version, and I hope to give you more news about an exact launch date soon. As for the Android version, that release date has yet to be announced. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the game's mobile port. It features 1.3 single player including the Night Market, but multiplayer is not included. However, the developer adds, "PC players can transfer their save data to the iOS version via iTunes" if those saves were not from a version of the game that was using third-party modifications.

Development on the mobile editions and console multiplayer update is being handled by two partner studios.

Finally released on PC in 2016, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and even PlayStation Vita versions have followed in the years since. We're a little surprised it isn't available on mobile though, but you won't have to wait too long to farm on your smartphone. And thus the unexpected success that is Stardew Valley was born, coming soon to a smartphone near you.
