American Horror Story: Apocalypse adds more series veterans

09 August 2018

Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series on FX just added a bunch of characters to the new season, and we're beyond excited. Emma Roberts is also expected to return for the season, which will be a crossover between season one (Murder House) and season three (Coven). The Hollywood Reporter notes that in addition to Nicks, the cast's latest additions include Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, and Frances Conroy, all of whom (aside from the Gold Dust Woman, of course) have appeared on other AHS seasons, too. Sidibe might be able to revisit Coven's Queenie, and Nicks could return as her witchy self. It remains to be seen how actors like Paulson or Peters will factor into the crossover, having played two different characters in both seasons. Fiona (played by Jessica Lange) calls in a favour, bringing the iconic singer in an attempt to out Day as the next in line for the Supremacy. Whoever he is, it seems likely that a mask of some sort is involved, as he tweeted out a photo of himself getting covered in blue. something.

During the show's TCA panel this month, Apocalypse executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall said the season's title should be taken at face value. "And then our world begins".
