08 August 2018

Firstly, questions have to be asked about Anderson's initial tee shot as the 36-year-old is seen in a wooded area and standing over the ball, contemplating how he is going to get out of the trees. England's all-time leading wicket-taker in Tests only had himself to blame - he was hacking the ball out of the rough amidst snaking tree roots suggests he may have sliced his previous shot as sharply as one of his bending inswingers.

The first game was also England's 1000th Test match which they won on the fourth day by bowling out India for 162, who needed 194 for victory.

England fans relieved when they heard that Anderson is fine, because he is an important player to the team, who will be playing the second test against India on Thursday.

England will already be missing Ben Stokes for the Lord's Test as the all-rounder as the all-rounder is expected to appear at Bristol Crown Court today over charges of affray following a the much-talked-about street brawl outside a nightclub last September. The world number one Test batsman and the world number one Test bowler will square off against each other again in the second Test which gets underway at the historic Lord's Cricket Ground on August 9.
