Nokia 6.1 Plus could launch around August in the Indian market

After getting delayed by a week, the Nokia X5 is now officially unveiled at the launch event held in China. The X5 is fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery and runs on Android Oreo 8.1. Of course, when the Nokia X5 eventually makes its way outside of China, likely under the 5.1 Plus name, that regional 999 yuan MSRP could convert into a little more moolah. The smartphone will go on sale on July 19, and registrations on have already begun.

The Nokia X5 that has arrived in Night Black, Baltic Sea Blue and Glacier White color variants feature double-sided 2D glass with a polycarbonate frame in between. There's a display notch in the front with a slight chin at the bottom of the display with the Nokia logo, and the company claims that the screen-to-body ratio is at 84 percent. There is a logo at the back as well below the fingerprint sensor. The volume rocker and power button sit on the right edge of the smartphone, while the 3.5mm audio jack is situated at the top edge. The Nokia X5 was rumoured to launch earlier this month, but the launch was postponed due to some issues with the venue. While the new phone might look similar to its older sibling mainly thanks to its 5.8-inch 19:9 notched display, they are actually quite different from one another. The specs sheet continues with MediaTek Helio P60 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage and there's also a 4GB/64GB configuration.

Nokia X6 features 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. There's an LED flash sitting below the two sensors at the back. It is packed with a selfie camera of 8-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture that offers features like AI beauty, AI stickers, AI background blurring effect and dual-view shooting mode that allow users to use the front and rear cameras at the same time. It measures 8.1mm in thickness and weighs 160 grams.

For connectivity options, the new Nokia X5 smartphone gets 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
