Sony Xperia XA2 Plus brings high-res audio to the mid-range

Latest report says, the phone will be launching in Taiwan. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC with Adreno 508 GPU.

The bezels also look as though they might be slightly smaller than on the other XA2 models, but otherwise this sounds a lot like the Xperia XA2 Ultra, with other specs including a 6.0-inch Full HD+ display, an aluminum frame, a rear fingerprint scanner, a 23MP rear camera and a 3,580mAh battery.

At this moment, we are not sure if Sony Mobile will import this into Malaysia, I guess we will just have to wait and see. As per the blog, Xperia XA2 Plus will come in two different variants - 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 6GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard, which allows storage expansion up tp 400GB via microSD card. "Xperia XA2 Plus further improves on that with a reimagined 18:9 display, Sony's Hi-Res Audio and powerful camera technology, to offer a unique content consumption and creation device for consumers at this section of the market".

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is set to launch running Android Oreo in August, and you'll be able to pick it up in silver, black, gold or green. A ¼-inch Exmor R sensor generates 8-megapixel, 120-degree super wide-angle snaps up front with an ISO range up to 3200 and an aperture of f/2.4. A 3580mAh battery backs the device with Qnovo adaptive charging and Quick Charge 3.0. Connecitivity options on this phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB Type-C.

The new Xperia XA2 Plus will join the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra in Sony's mid-range line-up, both of which arrived earlier this year.
