Samsung Galaxy Note 9 revealed in first leaked render

11 July 2018

The upcoming Galaxy Tab S4 was spotted on the US FCC website last month and is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy Note 9 and a new Samsung smartwatch, which could be called the Galaxy Watch, at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 9.

We have already seen images of the purported devices, which allegedly sports a dramatically redesigned front compared to last year's Galaxy Tab S3. The new one looks more sleek and shiny, enhanced functionality is also possible. After a year full of boring, uninspired flagship phones, Samsung is expected to completely flip the script right out of the gate in 2019.

In terms of hardware, the Galaxy Tab S4 will apparently be running a Snapdragon 835 CPU, 4GB of RAM and 7,300mAh battery under the hood with speakers by AKG. We can't say anything with any certainty at this point, but we've heard from our own trusted sources that Samsung is spicing things up in 2019. As for the dual camera setup on the front, the only other Samsung device which supports it is the Samsung Galaxy A8. To unlock the phone or authenticate Samsung Pay purchases, the user will simply hold his or her finger on the screen in a specific area toward the bottom.

So, if the Note 9's design really is (almost) the same as the Note 8's - would that upset you?
