For the moment, it is unclear just who will replace Ronaldo in the squad this summer, but everything points to Chelsea and Belgium star Eden Hazard, who has always been a target for the club.

Some reports have claimed that Hazard could be on his way to Madrid in a stunning swap deal which could, perhaps, see Marco Asensio go the other way. Hazard told beIN SPORTS. Subsequently, Hazard sent a number of Chelsea fans into a anxious frenzy with his statements.

"Does Real make me dream less without Zidane?"
Zidane is someone special it's true, but I think Real is everyone's dream.

Both Belgium and France will battle it out for a place in the World Cup final, where the victor will face either England or Croatia next Sunday.

"Zidane or no Zidane, the white jersey [of Madrid] is special but the blue jersey [of Chelsea] suits me well so it does not bother me if I stay". As I have said at least 100 times, I am in Chelsea and for the moment nobody has made me an offer'.

According to Madrid-based paper Marca, the club have a superstar-filled list of alternatives to fill the Portuguese's sizable boots - chief among those being Tottenham's Harry Kane.

Having scored over 130 goals in his last four seasons with Tottenham Hotspur, Kane has already surpassed expectations with six goals in his maiden World Cup and will set a new England record with another against Croatia in Thursday's (AEST) semi-final. The competition ends this weekend, which is when activity can be expected in the transfer window.

Hazard won't be playing the Champions League next season and that is a key factor in his wish to move on from Chelsea to pastures new.
