Fortnite Playground LTM ends July 12, minor changes coming in next update

06 July 2018

While Epic Games usually keeps its plans under wraps, only revealing features at their imminent release, when it comes to the new Playground v2 mode, the devs have proven very open about the planned changes and improvements.

When Is the Fortnite Playground v2 Release Date?

The Fortnite Playground limited time mode finally got underway for real this week and has managed to run along pretty well since.

"We'll be turning off the Playground LTM on Thursday, July 12th as we take it back under construction for the next version".

Epic said it hopes to enable team selection options within the Playground itself in the next iteration.

With that said, it will be returning at some point and will become a full-fledged creative sandbox mode for players to hop into and just go absolutely nuts.

The mode also features respawns, increased resources and a ten minute time limit making it extremely different from any other mode in the game.

"Thank you and let us know what else you'd love to see in a future version!" "We all landed tilted, and by the time we were done, it was unrecognisable", one fan posted on Reddit. Now, Epic Games has announced that they will be suspending the popular game mode. It allows players to explore the map and play around with up to three friends, free from the risk of being eliminated by other people. So much so, that many have been begging Epic Games to make it permanent.
