On July 4 and December 31, fireworks can be discharged until 12:30 a.m. Some areas also have ordinances related to the times when fireworks are allowed. Skyrockets or aerial fireworks attached to a stick (bottle rockets) may not be discharged within the city limits. The only fireworks that may legally be discharged by unlicensed individuals are "novelty and trick" fireworks, such as party poppers and glow worms. Fireworks will kick off at about 9:45 p.m.
