E3 2018: Black Ops 3 Free on PlayStation Plus Tonight

14 June 2018

A new FAQ on the Activision Support website has revealed that the DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII will not be on sale in separate packs as it has been in the past, the only way to get the DLC is to purchase the Season Pass.

"Back in Black maps are immediately playable for Black Ops 3, and include fan favourite maps - Jungle, Summit, Slums, and Firing Range - and these are available only for PlayStation fans".

The Black Ops pass offers day-one access to the "Classified" Zombie Experience, as well as four brand new zombie experiences.

Black Ops Pass (BOP) content is not final, is subject to change, and may not include all downloadable content available for the game. Keep checking back with GameSpot for more on Black Ops 4 during E3.

But what if you were given the bog standard physical version of the game as a gift at Christmas, surely you can buy the pass then?

Fog of war has been added and a lot more are coming to Call of Duty Black Ops 4. While Zombies compose a solid portion of the Black Ops Pass, Multiplayer and Blackout are still present, which means this rumor is at least somewhat untrue.

At present, Activision is encouraging players to grab the Digital Deluxe Edition, the Digital Deluxe Enhanced Edition, or the Pro Edition to get their hands on the pass (each edition also comes with extra goodies). As long as you have an active subscription, you can head over to the PlayStation Store right now (through July 11th) and download the game for free. As more is learned about the game and the Black Ops Pass, however, this could change.
