While Nex A is priced at 3,898 yuan (approximately Rs 41,000), the Nex S, which is available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants is priced at 4,498 yuan (approximately Rs 47,300) and 4,998 yuan (about Rs 52,000), respectively.

Is the Vivo NEX the first of a new breed of truly bezel-less smartphones?

Vivo announced that the NEX will be available in China, but the company did not say when or how much will it cost. As the name itself suggests, the Vivo Nex is a standard mid-range smartphone and the Nex Ultimate is a flagship smartphone, but both the devices differ only in terms of the chipset and RAM, storage options. It was already pretty reliable on Vivo X21, as seen in MKBHD's video, so it should be better in the Vivo NEX.

The Vivo NEX also features an updated Jovi Intelligent Voice Assistant.

The Vivo NEX smartphone comes in three variants.

It's worth noting we don't now have any word on whether the Vivo Nex will be coming to other countries around the world. Vivo has managed to achieve an insane 91.24% screen-to-body ratio, which no other manufacturer achieved in the past.

NEX comes with a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 8GB of RAM so it never hesitates, even when running the most intensive games. And thus, one of the highlights of the phone is that it comes with a pop-up front-facing camera. This technology hides the fingerprint sensor underneath the display while still delivering fingerprint access on the front of the phone. According to images released by Vivo on its website, the pop-up camera will sit on the top left of the display. To talk about the identical features of the Vivo NEX and NEX Ultimate, we will be referring them as Vivo NEX in the rest of the article.

Additionally, the Vivo NEX uses an in-display fingerprint scanner, which is not the first the company has dabbed on with the futuristic technology: it's little-known X20UD and X21 devices already boasted in-display fingerprint scanners. There are two cameras on the back, one of which is a 12-megapixel shooter with an aperture of f/1.8, with the second being a 5-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.4.

So where did the speaker, the front camera and the fingerprint scanner go?

Vivo mounted the 8MP front-facing camera on a "micro-stepper motor" that lets it elevate very precisely. The handset includes a dedicated button for activating Jovi Intelligent Voice Assistant. The NEX and NEX Ultimate phones can be availed in colors like Diamond Black and Ruby Red. The cameras on the back also benefit from the AI-capabilities of the device with scene recognition, HDR, filters and photo composition.
