‘Unravel 2’ Announced at EA Play, Releasing Now

You can play it solo, but this is a game that's played best in co-op, as we found when playing with Coldwood's Martin Sahlin.

The press release delves more deeply into the game's plot and mechanics. Despite the game having a big multiplayer focus, it can now only be played in local multiplayer. However, there appears to be one major difference this time around: there are now two playable Yarny characters.

Original Story: In 2016, Electronic Arts announced that adorable puzzle-platformer Unravel was getting a sequel, but kept all the details close to its chest.

According to its description, Unravel 2 is a side-scrolling platformer in which players control a pair of fantastical creatures called Yarnys as they navigate environments. The Unravel Two trailer shows how the two Yarnys need to team up together and become friend in order to catch the light at the end of the game.

Unravel 2 will feature drop-in/drop-out co-op. EA is publishing the game, and Coldwood Interactive is the developer. Like the first game, Unravel 2 is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
