How to get the Android P beta on your OnePlus 6

18 May 2018

It appears to be the same for the OnePlus 6, but the company has slowly been raising the price after every new release over the last few years. OnePlus took the wraps off its 2018 flagship at its London launch event yesterday, and we were presented with the features, design and specifications of the smartphone.

The company has also made it clear that this build of Android P is "best suited for developers and early adopters". Despite its affordable price tag, the OnePlus 6 brings all the latest hardware under-the-hood along with a premium design, staying true to the company's flagship killer image. OnePlus boasts that the cutout is smaller than that on Apple's flagship and is promising that a future over-the-air update will allow users to hide it.

The OnePlus 6 starts at $530 in the USA, and it'll become available to buy starting on May 22. The company notes that the update will provide access to some latest Android features and apps to the users. With this in mind, we never doubted that OnePlus will also run a beta testing program for Android P. Well, it's here and if you own the new OnePlus 6, we have a guide on how to install Android P beta on the device.

Follow these instructions to download the latest ROM update. To buy the OnePlus 6 will be on June 5 in gloss black, Matt black and white colors pre-loaded with Android OS 8.1 and the ability to update P Android out of the box.
