Christine Lampard opens up about her pregnancy

CHRISTINE and Frank Lampard are expecting their first child together.

Sharing a picture with his wife and girls, the football pundit wrote, 'We have some exciting news we wanted to share with you.

Meanwhile, a whole host of celebrities rushed to social media to congratulate Christine and Frank after the stunning presenter posted on her Instagram page: "The Lampard family are expanding!"

In an Instagram post she posed along with Lampard and her stepdaughters Luna (12) and Isla (10), Frank's children from his previous relationship with Spanish model Elen Rivas.

Christine added that she and Frank had made a decision to wait until their 20-week scan before revealing their news, but they have been enjoying it between themselves since she first did a test.

"Exciting times folks - I can't quite believe I'm sitting here talking about it".

Despite feeling "nervous" and "anxious" ahead of her first scan, Christine revealed she took at least "seven or eight" pregnancy tests but didn't tell her husband the good news immediately because he was in Manchester working. "They want a girl, that's their only situation", she said.

'I wasn't at all in fact, ' she said.

"In that classic kind of anxious, nervous, superstitious kind of way, it was nearly like, let's get the big scan done and then you can open up and start to tell people because I've just been really nervous because you're always thinking the worst".

"And then you get scared to even get excited, and of course then the test was done and there it was".

They hadn't been actively trying, with Christine adding, "It was very much a case of let's see what happens". I'm clearly not 18 any more so we weren't sure it was going to happen.
