Another Congress leader, Jaiveer Shregill took to Twitter saying, "India is not witnessing "swearing-in" ceremony of below majority #Yeddyurappa #BJP Govt but "swallowing-in" of democratic/legal principles by Hon'ble Governor who chose to act like soldier of #BJP rather than soldier of the Constitution".

Speaking to reporters, Jethmalani, however, made it clear that he saw gross illegality in the BJP's claim to form a government in Karnataka as well as in the manner in which the Governor refused to invite the Congress-JD (S) combine but granted the chance to Yeddyurappa.
