DICE will reveal Battlefield V next week

The final shot is of Noah drinking from a mug with a "V" on it, which led many to believe that the title in question is Battlefield V.

We've been hearing rumors for a while now that the next Battlefield game will be revealed at E3 or EA Play next month. Said Easter egg has also stirred up some controversy on account of a dirt-smeared painting of a horse and the ghoulish wailing that enticed players into discovering the leak.

You can of course expect large-scale multiplayer in the next Battlefield - but Battlefield V takes it to the next level. Alongside a campaign and the expected Battlefield muliplayer, we've also heard that the game will feature a dedicated co-op mode and, of course, that a Battle Royale mode is being prototyped. Tickets for this huge gaming event [VIDEO] will be distributed for free, though fans should be at the venue in order to get the free tickets. Furthermore, the single-player mode will feature the return of War Stories.

There's already an entry for the live stream on the official Battlefield YouTube channel. It will be hosted by The Daily Show's Trevor Noah.

"Battlefield will never be the same", the teaser on the official Battlefield site states.

Battlefield V is now without an official release date, and has yet to be announced for specific platforms. The last game in the official numbering scheme was Battlefield 4, in 2013. Additionally, EA and DICE noted that players should be prepared for "untold, compelling narratives in a new setting". Not only this but a battle royale mode is set to be included. Funny, smart, and loves video games?
