The plan 118 of BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) competes with Jio plan 98. State-owned telecom operators do not have the freedom like the private ones to continue using cheap data plans, however, BSNL has prepped up to mark it's presence with a list of offers. The validity of this plan is for 28 days.
Back in March, Airtel introduced its Rs 995 pack, which was one of the first prepaid pack offer the truly unlimited experience for voice calls. The introduction of this pack is a fine-drawn attempt to take on Reliance Jio's Rs. 98 recharge pack that provides nearly similar incentives. This means that if you've recharged your prepaid account with a data-only pack or a usual unlimited pack that offers a certain amount of data on a monthly basis, you will be charged for each KB consumed post the given data limit. For any other PRBT tune, BSNL will charge according to the customization user asks for. In BSNL Plan 118, standard data charges are applicable after 1GB and in Jio there are no charges after 2GB data usage. Additionally, BSNL is also offering free caller tune by default with this plan. The validity is same for all the effective circles. Data usage up to 1GB is free in the pack but after 1GB, there are standard rates on usage.More news: Neymar to Real would be tough for Barcelona, says Messi
In a related news, Airtel has now made a decision to focus on post-FUP speed now, as they have raised their barrier, and offering 126 Kbps of post-FUP speed. This plan was aimed at the audience with more calling needs than data consumption requirements. Similarly, BSNL is now offering 128Kbps speed once the FUP limit is over. The unlimited calls include all local calls, all std calls and all roaming incoming, outgoing calls. The "unlimited" calls are, however, limited to 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week.
Following the suit, Idea started rolling a similar prepaid plan for Rs. 109. But now BSNL has launched the plan 118 in which the telecom operator is offering free unlimited calls. Basically, Airtel's unlimited prepaid combo plan comes with a daily data cap. And after cross the calling threshold, users will be charged at 1 paisa per second for calls.More news: Pink Schools Troll Who Insulted Her Age and Looks
