Honor 10 launched: Watch unboxing and first impressions

Honor, Huawei's sub-brand is all set to launch its new flagship device - Honor 10 in the global as well as Indian market today.

The Honor 10 will be available at INR 32,999 for purchase at exclusively on Flipkart.

Other design details include thin size bezels, a display notch, and horizontally placed dual rear cameras. This device's other major feature is its "avant-garde design" - which we've been waiting for in the smartphone industry for some time.

In India, Honor will sell only a single variant of the phone, which will come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Honor 10 will be available in four colors - blue, green, black, and grey - and goes on sale SIM-free online from today (unless you're in the US). Honor is bringing only the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the Honor 10 to India. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the phone, along with Huawei's Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.1 skin. The display cutout smiles at onlookers from the top of a 5.84-inch LCD screen with 2280 x 1080 resolution. The phone is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.

While the aurora glass provides radiance from every angle, the 24MP and 16MP rear, dual-lens camera fitted with artificial intelligence lets the user take photographs with never-seen clarity.

The frontside camera has 3D face recognition and works with "studio lighting effects" with a "range of lighting conditions". On the front, the smartphone also bears an AI Camera, featuring a 24-megapixel sensor with 1.8-micron pixels and a 3D Portrait Lighting mode. The Honor 10 isn't supposed to be as good as a phone which carries the haloed Leica insignia, but it's supposed to use a lot of the same derivative technologies to give it a category-redefining edge. It supports Dual 4G VoLTE, dual band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and NFC for connectivity. Sensors on board the Honor 10 include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Dimension wise it measures 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8mm and weighs 164g. It is powered by a 3400mAh battery.
