Street Fighter V new DLC character announcement, meet Falke

17 April 2018

Falke will be one the new DLC fighters being released in the "Arcade Edition" [VIDEO] and her abilities involve her using a Bo staff and the Pyscho power. With her ability to use Psycho Power and infuse objects with it, she's going to be a formidable fighter for sure.

According to her backstory, she was built and trained to be an alternative clone for M. Bison but was eventually rescued by Ed. "She was heavily experimented on by Shadaloo and was forced to train day in, day out to achieve perfection".

Falke can use Psycho Power by infusing it into weapons, like her staff Harmony. As the years went by and the hard training continued, she began to despair, but finally, Ed, who was new in Street Fighter 4, rescued her and helped her get away from Shadaloo.

With the help of Ed, Falke escaped Shadaloo and now she and Ed are like siblings. Capcom announced that Falke will be available on the game's roster on April 27 along with her story and battle outfits.

The first method is called "Psycho Kugel", or "Standing", and it sends the power shooting out of the staff in a shotgun-like fashion. Pressing down and HP+HK will see Falke using Psycho Panzer, a powered up version of Psycho Kanonen that deals more damage.

The second V-Trigger is called "Psycho Angriff" and it allows her to increase the damage she inputs with her staff.

Falke extends one arm and spins her staff in front of her. Players can cancel this move to perform normal moves and deflect projectile attacks. Activate that V-Trigger in the comments section below.

Pressing HP+HK again during this V-Trigger will cause Falke to use Psycho Shrot, a powered up version of Psycho Kugel that emits three bullets and travels further. Psycho Shrot and Kanonen can be cancelled into each other and can leave the opponent prone to a Critical Art. She also gets the Psycho Strum move, which is a clubbing swing of Harmony that can be extended into greater combos.

With a Psycho Power-charged staff, Falke launches opponents into the air.

Falke is available for separate purchase for $5.99 United States dollars or 100,000 Fight Money OR as part of the Season 3 Character Pass for MSRP $29.99 USD ($44.95 AUD). She's poised to be a really unique character, so I'm eager to jump back in to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition next week to try her out for myself.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC.
