Maserati has unveiled the 2019 Levante Trofeo, the first Levante built around a V8 engine. The SUV is one of the most powerful Maserati models ever, powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 with 590 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels.
"The engineers and designers in Modena know that the driveline parameters (of the Maserati Levante) were more than able to cope with additional power", Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Maserati said. The Levante still retains its 50:50 weight balance and can send up to 100 percent of the engine's power to the rear wheels.

To go along with the beast of an engine, the Levante Trofeo gets a restyled front and rear bumpers and 22-inch forged aluminum "Orione" wheels.
A further Corsa mode offers the maximum throttle response, lowers the suspension, optimises the Integrated Vehicle Control (IVT) settings, reduces gear-shift times and opens exhaust valves for a more obvious and sporty V8 report.
For the premiere in New York, Maserati introduced a limited-run "Launch Edition" for the U.S. and Canada only. The manufacturer's Integrated Vehicle Control is meant to prevent driver mistakes rather than correcting them after they happen, probably because a traditional stability control system wouldn't be quite exclusive enough for a auto of this stature. Black leather with blue or yellow stitching is exclusive to the launch edition and all feature the new matte carbon fibre wave interior trim.
