"I am attempting to speak honestly and openly to the American people about my relationship with now President Donald Trump, as well as the intimidation and tactics that he, together with his attorney Michael Cohen, have used to silence me", Daniels wrote in her CrowdJustice pitch.

Most recently, Daniels made an offer to return the $130,000 in exchange for the freedom to speak her truth.

In addition to the fundraiser, Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti has kept up a public relations offense, raising awareness of her lawsuit against President Trump in frequent TV appearances and social media posts.

On a newly established GoFundMe page, Ms Daniels asked for help paying the attorney's fees, security expenses, and out-of-pocket costs associated with the lawsuit. He said the porn star, her manager, and her lawyer were discussing how best to address the Trump conversation.

Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, filed a new legal motion Friday, seeking to have the judge assigned to the case removed because of a potential conflict of interest.

The head of CBS News said Tuesday that a "60 Minutes" interview with adult film star Stormy Daniels is on its way but that more journalistic work needs to be done on the story. While BuzzFeed has reported that Trump's lawyers were considering seeking an injunction to block the interview from being aired, Rhodes, in remarks reported by Variety, said he could not imagine what the basis would be for any legal action by Trump's team to prevent it from being shown. But unfortunately, I do not have the vast resources to fight Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen alone.

In interviews, Daniels' has been coy about the incident, offering conflicting accounts and stressing her intent to dissolve the agreement completely so she is free to share her story.

She added: "I am more fortunate than many, many people in this country".

According to the lawsuit, Trump lawyer Michael Cohen signed the agreement, but both Cohen and Trump deny the allegations of an affair.

Daniels claims that each and every time she speaks out about the situation, she is threatened with $1 million dollars in damages. Daniels presumably also wants to share her account of how she came to sign a nondisclosure agreement and take $130,000 in hush money in the month before the 2016 presidential election.
