BJP leaders say Ms Mehbooba Mufti had sometime back dropped Syed Altaf Bukhari, a long associate of her father, as party treasurer but brought him back as a minister.
"By pleading the social problems of Kashmir during a conference on Kashmir in Delhi, Drabu has virtually sought the attention of the central government for resolving the issues confronting the youth and the development and as such his statement doesn't go against the government", he said.
When contacted Syed Altaf Bukari confirmed to that he has entrusted with additional responsibility of Finance Department.More news: Carlos Hyde to sign with Cleveland Browns
The spokesman quoted the Rasheed saying "Omer Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti need to understand and accept the fact that it is only because of the United Nations resolutions that people talk everywhere about the J&K dispute. I was not accorded an opportunity to explain the context and the content of my speech", he said. Drabu, he said, was often the bridge between the Jammu and Kashmir government and the Centre over a host of issues.
He said that he had no formal or even personal communication either from the government or from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) about his being dropped from the cabinet on March 12 and that the manner and method of communicating the decision was shocking. They have been barking up the wrong tree for the last 50 or 70 years by talking about the politics of it; that the political situation has never improved. "We seriously need to look at in terms of how it is a society that is in search for itself".
Bukhari had recently said that the PDP was not averse to snapping ties with the BJP if justice was not done to the family of an eight-year-old girl, who was abducted, raped and murdered in Kathua in January. I stand by my choices, political or otherwise.More news: Wenger: 'Lacazette out for Milan'
"As for my understanding of the political ideology of PDP, it is based on my drafting of various election manifestoes, the aspirational agenda, and the all-important Self Rule document, which Mufti Sahib involved me in", he said.
The former journalist said he wanted "to put the record straight", making it clear he wouldn't be the fall guy for the deeply unpopular PDP-BJP alliance in the state.
Drabu revealed that chief minister Mehbooba Mufti had even refused to take his call.More news: Federal Appeals Court Upholds Most of Texas' Sanctuary Cities Law
However, PDP leader said that he was not given any chance to explain his side of the story and added that he bore ill will against no one. It is an internal matter of the PDP.
