If you are curious as to what is going on right now regarding Square Enix and the remake that is Final Fantasy VII, a job listing has been found detailing the position of a level planner.

The more interesting part of the posting is a development progress, embedded in the job description. It's also very likely that Final Fantasy XV's dev tools and procedures are bleeding into the project, as FFXV Game Director Hajime Tabata said his developers have become "tougher and faster" because of internal pressure.

"We've come to the conclusion that in order to meet fan expectations we must increase its quality another step higher". The site notes that an update on the game's development progress is somewhat shared through this job post, opting for fans to get an idea what the team is working on right now. Since it's been over 20 years since the release of the original title, it isn't odd to see developers today, including current employees at Square Enix, who know of characters such as Cloud and Sephiroth but never played Final Fantasy VII.

Square Enix says that a level planner isn't the only role it hopes to bolster, and that it will continue hiring and recruiting new talent to make FFVII: Remake the best it can be.
