Evoni Williams, Waffle House Worker Gets College Scholarship For Act Of Kindness

Waitress Evoni Williams worked the hectic morning shift at the Waffle House in La Marque, Texas, saving up for college.

"I don't know her name but I heard this elderly man tell her his hands don't work too good", Laura Wolf wrote, describing how Williams stepped in and immediately began cutting his food.

In the end, Williams said that her caring decision to help cut Charpentier's food was nothing special and that she'd do it any day. The mayor of La Marque proclaimed March 8, 2018 Evoni "Nini" Williams Day, which brought Evoni to tears. "It's something I would do any other day".
