Cameron Diaz Has Retired From Acting, Says Selma Blair

Other hits include My Best Friend's Wedding and A Life Less Ordinary while she's also tackled serious fare like Martin Scorsese's 2002 epic Gangs Of New York. Referencing Diaz's marriage to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, the insider added, "She's happy, in love and wants to make the most of her freedom and free time".

"I would have liked to do a sequel, but Cameron's retired from acting", Blair said. News, she told an audience at an In Goop Health event: "I just went, 'I can't really say who I am to myself, ' which is a hard thing to face up to".

The star's pal Selma Blair told reporters the Cameron is "done" with the film industry.

While we may never know all that it would take to get Diaz on the big screen again, but looking back at some of her most iconic roles we hope someone figure it out.

The Gangs of NY actress in an interview with Vogue revealed that it had become crucial to take life at her own pace after getting married at 41.

Despite that success though, Diaz hasn't appeared in a film since 2014, that being the Jamie Foxx-fronted remake of the classic musical Annie.

The actress last appeared as Miss Hannigan in the rebooted version of Annie almost four years ago.

In a rare interview with radio host Andy Cohen, the 45-year-old actress divulged knowing that Madden would be her husband as soon as they were introduced by her sister-in-law, Nicole Richie. That film was The Mask, which saw Diaz star alongside Jim Carrey and propelled the California native to superstardom.

The source continued: "At this point they would be very happy with the miracle of one child". They would love to have the chance to be parents'.
