Salah Named EPL Player Of The Month

10 March 2018

For the second time this season, Mohamed Salah has been named the Premier League Player of the Month, it has been confirmed.

The Egyptian is the joint-leading Premier League scorer, while only Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane, Edinson Cavani and teammate Roberto Firmino have more Champions League goals this season.

"I say always try to help reach the three points and to be in a better position".

While Salah might be some way off Messi right now, his manager hopes that one day, Liverpool can help him - and Sadio Mane - win the ultimate individual prize in football.

"Yeah, if we can help bring Salah and Mane closer to the Ballon D'Or then we will try".

'It's not competition against us, it's for us, as we want the team to win, to get the team points, so we all want to score'.

Salah has a chance to extend his impressive goalscoring form when Liverpool head to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The forward bears no animosity towards Mourinho however, instead praising the United boss' tactical acumen as he looked ahead to the match.

Ings added, "I don't think I've ever seen anyone so ruthless in the way he runs in behind, in how he runs at people and how often runs through people because he's so strong".
