ASUS 'Strix GL702ZC' Gaming Laptop Launched in India at Rs 1,35000

Strix GL702ZC features ROG Gaming Center, a dashboard that lets gamers launch ROG applications and access the settings menu. The Strix GL702ZC is the world's first gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 octa-core processor and comes with AMD's FreeSync technology for fluid gaming performance. Pre-orders for the same has already started on Flipkart and will be available for purchase starting from March 20. The laptop features a 17.3-inch full-HD IPS anti-glare display with Radeon FreeSync support that is powered by the Ryzen 7 1700 processor (eight cores, 16 threads), AMD Radeon RX580 graphics (4GB of VRAM), and 16GB of DDR4 memory (expandable up to 32GB).

Commenting on the launch Arnold Su, National Business Development Manager, ASUS India said,"ROG Strix GL702ZC with AMD Ryzen changes the gaming hardware dynamic".

For connectivity, the laptop offers Wi-Fi ac 2x2, Bluetooth 4.1, 1 USB 3.1 Type C Gen 2 port, 3 USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 1 HDMI 2.0 port, 1 RJ45 port and 1 DisplayPort.

Additional features of the laptop include four display modes, which are the Normal mode, Vivid mode, Eye Care mode and the Manual mode. "This is the world's first and most powerful 8 Core AMD based gaming machine for smooth and shutter free gaming experience".

The variant of the Strix GL702ZC that has now launched in India comes with the Ryzen 7 processor and a 60HZ display. It weighs 3.2 KH and measures 415x280x340mm. It also sports a 256GB SATA SSD, and a 1TB HDD. The display also comes equipped with MD's FreeSync display technology, which claims to offer ultra-smooth visuals.

Asus has also revealed that the new gaming laptop features an anti-ghost technology for its back-lit keyboard for correct interpretation of keystrokes, even if multiple keys are pressed at the same time. "The Hyper Cool Duo-Copper cooling system uses heat pipes and a dual fan system to cool the CPU and GPU independently". The company claims that the laptop is capable of running graphics-intensive virtual reality (VR) applications easily. ASUS says that this design will ensure maximum and stable cooling efficiency for the Strix GL720ZC for intense gaming marathons.
