Our First Proper Look At PUBG's Desert Map

08 December 2017

Developer Bluehole has shown off the first in-game footage of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' long-teased and hugely anticipated new desert map. It's called Miramar, and it was shown in motion for the first time Thursday night during The Game Awards. The map will be available on the game's test servers tonight at 12 PM EST. When we made a decision to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel. The abandoned factory town of Chumacera looks to be an interesting location to visit, and the oceanside Valle del Mar (Valley of the Sea) will play an important role, connecting a prison island to the map's mainland. We wanted to go the opposite direction of having lush fields and forests and arrived at the harsh and unforgiving desert of what we can now reveal is Miramar.

This weekend on Saturday December 9, Xbox Australia will be bringing the rush and excitement of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) to life by releasing three separate supply drops in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. "And another differentiation from the R1895 is the use of speed loaders, enabling you to load all six rounds simultaneously, greatly accelerating reload times, putting the R45's reload speed more in line with other PUBG pistols".
