Jeffrey Tambor may not leave Transparent after all

07 December 2017

Tambor then issued a statement saying, "I don't see how I can return", which many interpreted as confirmation that the Emmy-winning actor had resigned from the show. Yet a representative for the actor disclosed to The Times recently that, in fact, Mr. Tambor had no plans to quit. At the time the allegations were made, Tambor vehemently denied them, referring to them as "baseless".

In the aftermath of the new claims, Tambor said, "This is no longer the job I signed up for four years ago". Writing to the Times, Soloway wrote that she takes "what Van Barnes and Trace Lysette are saying very seriously", but did not further elaborate on plans for the show and Tambor.

"Playing Maura Pfefferman on "Transparent" has been one of the greatest privileges and creative experiences of my life".

Tambor was accused of sexual harassment by his former personal assistant, a trans woman named Van Barnes, in a private Facebook post which was later circulated and reported on by the media.

But he also said that he didn't see how he could return to the series given the "politicized atmosphere" that is now on set following the harassment claims. "But no final decision for next year has been made, either by Jeffrey or by Amazon", Tambor's rep said.

Transparent Season 4 is now available on Amazon Prime. Amazon has launched an investigation into the claims, and the series has been on hiatus as the writers figure out whether or not they will continue the series without its lead character.

Tambor is now facing three sexual harassment allegations.

"We have our own complications on Transparent", she said. I want to attack you sexually'.

A third woman, makeup artist Tamara Delbridge, came forward November 22 and said Tambor kissed her without consent on the set of the movie "Never Again" in 2001.
