'Road Wars' Policeman James Dixon Dies After Motorcycle Crash

Pc Dixon was based at Loddon Valley police station on the outskirts of Reading.

PC James Dixon, whose wife Samantha is heavily pregnant, died when his motorcycle was in collision with a auto near Hare Hatch on Tuesday.

PC James Dixon died after the motorcycle he was riding was in collision with a vehicle on Bath Road near Hare Hatch on Tuesday afternoon.

Police Constable James Dixon, who featured on Sky 1's Road Wars, has been killed in a road accident.

Thames Valley Police said it will release further details when it is possible to do so.

Tributes have been paid to an on-duty police officer who died along with a 91-year-old woman following a crash on the A4 in Berkshire.

A 91-year-old female passenger of the auto also died, while the vehicle's driver went to hospital with injuries which were not thought to be life threatening.

The next of kin of PC Dixon and the female fatality have been informed.

"We are raising money in memory of Police Constable James Dixon who sadly died on Duty on December 5th 2017", the JustGiving page says.

A police spokesman said: "As is standard procedure, due to the fact that the incident resulted in the deaths of a member of the public and an on-duty police officer Thames Valley Police has made a mandatory referral to the IPCC [Independent Police Complaints Commission] who have begun an investigation". Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening, police said. "My thoughts are with all those who knew him at this very hard time".

"IPCC investigators are attending the scene as part of an independent investigation to determine the circumstances which lead to the collision".
