The Commissioner for Happiness and Couples' fulfilment is the brainchild of Rochas Okorocha, the governor of the south-eastern state of Imo.

The statement further described the choice of Okorocha's sister, Ogechi Ololo, as the Supervisory Commissioner in charge of the ministry, as a wise choice considering her experience in administration.

Ololo, who lambasted the critics of her appointment on Twitter handle at @MrsOgechiOlolo, also listed the mandate of her office to include ensuring citizens of Imo State remain happy despite the economic meltdown and Biafran fiasco.

Before her recent appointment, she served in the capacity of Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Adviser on Domestic Matters in his administration.

However, the governor, in a press release on Wednesday, noted that there was a typo in the naming of the new ministry.
