Sushant Singh Rajput bags 'The Fault In Our Stars' remake!

Josh Boone's 2014 American romantic drama, The Fault In Our Stars, based on John Green's novel of the same name, was a blockbuster.

The film also marks the directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

Chabbra was quoted as saying by the tabloid, "Yes, I am on board for The Fault in Our Stars remake". Sushant, who is now filming Kedarnath, will feature in the Hindi remake of Hollywood filmmaker Josh Boone's romantic film The Fault In Our Stars. I'm working on the script at the moment.

While with just a few days left for the shoot, Sushant Singh Rajput comes forward and says he no longer want to be part of the film and returns Rs. 4 crores to the producer. The movie will be produced by Fox Star Studios and the shooting will start in the first half of 2018. He is now on the lookout for his leading lady.

The movie is said to be inspired by the Hollywood movie however, the script will be adapted to Indian sensibilities.

The Hollywood movie received worldwide recognition with strong critical and commercial success for its portrayal of a sensitive and unique love story that blossoms between the two lead characters.

Now that we know that Sushant will be seen stepping in the shoes of Ansel Elgort, we wonder who'll play his leading lady in the film. Woodley featured as Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16-year-old cancer patient, who is forced by her parents to join a support group.
