With his second walk-off grand slam in less than a week, Steve Pearce lifted the Toronto Blue Jays to a miraculous 11-10 comeback win over the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep.
Anderson had called time on a 1-2 pitch, prompting Stroman to raise his hands after it was granted by plate umpire Dave Rackley. That was no big deal.
Delmonico is not ranked in the White Sox's top 30 prospect list, but has the opportunity to prove many wrong and impress at the Major League level.
Stroman exchanged words with Anderson as he batted leading off the seventh.
"Just the way he carried himself, I felt like I felt disrespected", Anderson said. I actually know one of them. I thought he had a problem. "But I don't understand.it made zero sense to me".
"It seemed like he wanted to talk the entire way back to the dugout after striking out", Stroman said.
"No comment", he said, after a few seconds.More news: New Celebrity Big Brother house revealed
Anderson said Stroman had words for him when he stepped out of the box and mumbled something after striking him out. "That's what it led to".
Donaldson connected in the first and added a sacrifice fly in the third to give the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead.
The Blue Jays added three more in the sixth while chasing Mike Pelfrey (3-9) after he retired the first two batters.
Jose Bautista was robbed of a homer in the fifth when Chicago right-fielder Alen Hanson timed his jump perfectly to snare the ball just as it made it's way over the fence.
The blast marked Donaldson's 12th home run of the season and his second in as many games.
Smoak's 31st homer, a two-run drive in the fifth, restored their lead right after the White Sox tied it while Martin's two-run single and a Donaldson RBI double in the sixth padded that edge.More news: Medical marijuana growing site, dispensing center coming to Schenectady County
NOTES: White Sox DH Matt Davidson left the game with a bruised right wrist that he sustained when he was hit by a pitch in the fourth inning. Smith promptly hit a Stroman offering over the wall in centre to bring the Sox to within three.
The crowd groaned as the replay was shown on the videoboard in center field. Sanchez could take Liriano's spot in the rotation. But they remain in last place in the AL East, on the fringe of the wild-card race, and left-hander Francisco Liriano and reliever Joe Smith were shipped out in a pair of trades ahead of the non-waiver deadline.
Darrell Cecilliani returned from rehab assignment, remains on a 60-day DL. To make way for the addition of outfielder Nori Aoki, the Jays sent down LHP Brett Oberholtzer.
Aoki is expected to join Toronto before Tuesday's game. "I got the ball back from Donaldson after throwing the ball around, and he was still continuing to talk, so I asked him what he was saying".
"He has worked through a lot of adversity and he's the type of player we want", Renteria said. "He'll get some playing time".
Liriano will add pitching depth to an Astros team that had the best record in the American League (68-36) before Monday's games. Russell Martin was tossed as well when he impolitely told Little that he didn't need to chuck Stroman, especially since Gibbons got heaved two pitches earlier.More news: Shell Midstream Partners, LP (SHLX) Consensus EPS Estimates
