Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, is close to leaving Manchester City to Leicester City in a move worth £25million (about N1.25billion).

The striker is now on holiday while there is an issue with his agent, but the Foxes are in pole position for his signature.

The fee is thought to be around £25 million for the talented goalscorer, who is now under contract with Manchester City until 2021. Iheanacho would require an even bigger outlay but Leicester are in a position to be able to meet City's demands for a player who has plenty of potential and is seen as a natural goalscorer.

His goal-haul the following campaign was slightly less eye-catching but he still scored seven times in only nine starts - making a further 20 appearances from the substitutes' bench.

Iheanacho fell down the pecking order at City last season below Sergio Aguero and young Brazilian Gabriel Jesus.

He gained prominence in 2015 under former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Additionally, Iheanacho being left-footed would offer a different angle of attack to current talisman Jamie Vardy while the Nigeria international's clinical record in front of goal speaks for itself.
