Kane has no reason to leave Tottenham, insists Pochettino

20 May 2017

Kane will enter the final day of the season on Sunday in pole position to finish as top scorer, with the striker now on 26 league goals - two more than Everton's Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian powerhouse has scored 24 of his Premier League goals at Everton this term and is two behind Kane in the race for this season's Golden Boot.

The midfielder worked it to Chilwell, who managed to squeeze the ball beyond Dier on the line - only for Kane to immediately restore Spurs' two-goal advantage to spark a rout.

"I always talk about the right-hand side, but who can you get to go straight in?"

"Hopefully I can get the Golden Boot and hopefully (Tottenham goalkeeper) Hugo Lloris can get the Golden Glove (for the most clean sheets)".

"It is disappointing to concede but hopefully we can keep a clean sheet against Hull", added Kane, who has scored five hat-tricks for his club in just over two years. "We work so hard as a group and the staff, the manager. look, there's not many better teams to be at around the world at the moment", he said.

"No", he told Sky Sports when asked if his biggest worry as a coach was that a bigger club would try and sign a player like Kane. But for his well-documented injuries he might well have reached 100 Premier League goals already, but Sturridge is still only 27 and will be in demand if he moves on from Liverpool this summer.

"It was probably one of the best performances of the season".

'They are happy here as we are building an exciting project'.

Kane has now scored 70 goals in his last 90 Premier League games for Spurs after netting his 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th top-flight goals of the season on Thursday.

"It is very clear we will keep the players we want to keep", he said.

“We are so, so calm about our key players.

His game is built around creativity, guile and a high work-rate, and his versatility means he has been shifted around the pitch during a career in which he spent three seasons with Barcelona before signing for Arsenal in 2014.

Kane won last season's golden boot with 25 goals and is on course to defend his personal title.

"Every season we try to improve, and next season and the season after when we move to the new stadium we want to not only try to keep the performance but also win trophies".
