Confusion reigns over Rodriguez to Man United reports

18 May 2017

Bookmakers have suspended betting on Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez making a summer switch to Manchester United after renewed speculation emerged surrounding his future.

Bale has always been considered as one of the best players in the world, having been an integral component for Real Madrid for the last four seasons.

Easily United's best player since Sir Alex Ferguson left, the possibility of him leaving for Real Madrid for much of those four seasons would have sent plenty of trepidation through the United faithful.

"I'm sure, at the end of the summer, probably we won't have exactly my first options, because it's hard to succeed in every attempt", Mourinho said.

According to Diario Gol, Bale's agent has reached out to multiple English clubs after becoming unhappy with how Real as a club have reacted to the player's injury troubles.

De Gea has continually been linked with Real Madrid in recent months. They are expected to take the lead from table leaders Barcelona after their midweek match against Celta Vigo.

Furthermore, Bale, Carvajal and Pepe remain in the treatment room as the trio continue their respective rehabilitations in order to feature in the Champions League final against Juventus on 3 June.
