Many have questioned if Elizabeth went willingly. We don't know what's gonna be involved yet.

"We mobilized a nation during these 6 weeks. Here in California and Siskiyou County, CA, a state I've never even been to, you had concerned citizens who did the right thing, and so there are so many good people in this country", Whatley said.

"This just feels like our prayers have been answered, and the lost sheep is home".

He said, "She is excited that they were found and nobody was hurt".

The 49-year-old woman who was married to her husband for 31 years is seeking alimony and attorney fees, according to the four-page suit.

A suspected kidnapping like this is a rarity in Columbia, said Mayor Dean Dickey.

"The longer it carries on, you seem to expect the worst", Dickey said.
