21 April 2017

Throw in some Electric Light Orchestra, Yes, Journey and Nile Rodgers and you've got 2017's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class.

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament wore a shirt paying tribute to all the bands that influenced him and the rest of the band that he felt are being snubbed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Greg Harris tells ABC Radio that Tupac made the ballot this year because he became such a notable figure in such a short period of time.

"I used to have a television show, they were on my show 10 different times over the years", aid Letterman. "I know Neil Young was supposed to be here and people are saying".

The One Direction star will appear as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live to perform the power ballad as well as another brand new song from his forthcoming album. But a source for the Rock Hall production maintained the wild card would be if "Perry just decides to sing when he gets onstage".

Shakur, Baez, Pearl Jam and ELO were all elected in their first year as nominees.

Baez touched on themes of equality and empowerment: "Let us together repeal and replace brutality and make compassion a priority".

Journey (sort of) gave us the reunion we were hoping for on Friday.
